Standing barefoot in the mud

We all watched in awe as Trey personalized his experience with the devoted phans before him. Tens of thousands watched as he got all choked up on stage, and it was emotional. I got choked up just watching him, hoping that he wouldn't lose it up there and would be able to finish the show. He did, and after he nearly lost it, he said "we just need to blow off some steam right now" and they were at it.

I couldn't believe my eyes as I watched it all unfold. Right before the start of the second set, the sky looked ominous, and we felt like it was going to burst with rain. We even felt drops. Behind us, tens of thousands were ready to come sliding down the hill that would become a gigantic mudslide.

The second set opened up thundering with energy, and the sky was filled with phosphorescent lightsticks flying, raining on the crowd. The air was filled with the energy of the music and the phosphorescent lights... and it was raining phish.

The Adventure, the enduring voyage, the journey across the airstrip to the place where we all experienced the unfolding of history... standing barefoot in the mud.
